Tradition....

Fairway & Greene was founded in 1995 and truly set the standard for quality knitwear that still exists today.  It’s hard to believe it has been 17 years since that first shirt.  The world has changed a lot over that time…four presidents, terrorism, natural disasters, economy in and out of the toilet, Pluto no longer a planet and now polyester makes a return to glory.  It’s a strange world we live in.

One of the constants has been Fairway & Greene and our commitment to simply the finest apparel available and delivering the best value to you, the consumer.  Now, value doesn’t mean the least expensive.  To us, value means delivering the best feeling, longest lasting, best looking product for the price.  Five years from now, when you reach into your closet to put on one of our shirts or sweaters because it’s still your favorite, that’s value.

We like to keep it simple around here and that means just make great product we’re proud of, period.  Whether it’s our Signature Cotton Lisle shirt that set the standard 17 years ago or our latest generation of high performance F&G Tech that is setting the standard today, you’re going to get the best.  That’s right, performance polyester from Fairway & Greene.  We could have stuck our head in the sand, ignored what’s happening in the market and try to sell you on the idea that polyester is just a bad dream.  Instead, we chose to work hard with our factories to design and develop performance fabrics that our most discerning F&G enthusiast can appreciate.

We’re not here to tell you what’s proper, what to wear, how to wear it, when to wear it or make you think we hold the secret ingredient to some magical life style.  We assume your life is too cool and too complicated for us to figure that out so we’ll leave those details to you.  We’ll just make great product, versatile product, beautiful product that you can take wherever you want to go.

We have a history that we’re very proud of.  We’re just as proud of our ability to respect that history and tradition while moving our brand forward to be modern and relevant to today’s consumer.  Our tag line has always been “Respect the game.”  To do that, we have to respect what the game was in 1905 or 1995 and be respectful of what the game looks like in 2015.  You can choose which game we’re referring too.
